August 14, 2008 - Norwalk, Ohio The tradition continues…once again the Ames Performance Tri Power Pontiac Nationals has proven to be the largest, best attended Pontiac event of the year! Hundreds of cars and thousands of spectators flocked to Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk, Ohio for the 17th edition of the event that began as Tri Power Sunday in 1992. While we didn't break the record attendance levels set in 2007 for race and show cars, the manufacturer's midway and swap meet did reach new highs. This is the 4th consecutive year that the Ames Performance Tri Power Pontiac Nationals has achieved the distinction of being the largest brand event held at Summit Motorsports Park, surpassing all other brand shows at this world-class facility! We want to thank all of our sponsors and participants for their continued support of the event; we are already hard at work planning for next year! Be sure to mark your calendars for August 7th, 8th & 9th 2009…You do not want to miss attending the largest all-Pontiac event in the nation! We had 446 racers, 469 show cars, 145 swap meet vendors using 251 spaces. There were over 10,500 spectators. PICTURES WILL BE POSTED AS SOON AS THEY ARE AVAILABLE |
